Is a community based, volunteer run Orphan Day Centre in Mmankgodi, a rural Botswana village of 2,000 with over 250 registered orphans.
Offers a safe place for children coping with loss, abuse, neglect and exploitation.
Volunteers provide nutritious food, counseling, and educational and psychosocial support for healthy development to over 160 village orphans.
Orphans are at high risk for physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect.
Through their relationships at the centre, the children can begin the process of healing from their traumatic losses.
